About

About the festival

Festival of Calm is an annual non-commercial gathering at the intersection of art, meditation, and human closeness. It was born from the need to create a space where time slows down for a while.

01Our mission

Calm is not passivity — it is an active choice.

We believe that calm is not passivity — it is an active choice. The Festival of Calm arose as a response to the relentless pace of modern life. We want to create one day each year when everyone can simply be.

We are not after spectacle or star names. We are after genuine encounter — between people, with nature, with oneself. Each year it is built together: volunteers, artists, organisers, and visitors alike.

Atmosphere

Mariánská louka in Děčín offers a natural setting: old tree-lined avenues, soft grass, and air scented by the river. Into this frame we place music, movement, silence, and laughter.

The festival deliberately stays small. A limited number of participants makes possible the most precious thing: to hear each other, to meet eyes, to talk without hurry. A big festival on a human scale.

Who it is for

The festival is open to everyone — families with children, couples, friends, solo travellers. Those who meditate every morning and those who are meditating for the first time. Young and old, locals and visitors from afar. The common denominator: a desire to meet and breathe.
